iFixIt Article on MacBook Pro with Retina Display
iFixit ran an article about disassembling, and repairing the new MacBook Pro with Retina Display. They said in their own words "The Retina MacBook is the least repairable laptop we've ever taken apart". Now that is saying a lot. There have been a lot of laptops, and MacBooks produced, and the folks at iFixIt have tested and written about a large number of them.
iFixIt has a lot of great information about laptops, computers, electronics, and of course MacBooks. This article pretty much spells it out, why you need to take your broken MacBook to a qualified repair shop when it needs help.
Apple makes it practically impossible for end users to service a broken, or liquid damaged MacBook. Even replacing the battery is extremely difficult, not to mention the screen, glass, video cable, hinges and the rest.
Thankfully the new MacBooks can be repaired in almost every case by our experts, regardless of the problem.
