We Can Really Fix Them MacBook Airs'
About a year ago a customer came into Seattle Laptop to have us fix the power button on an HP netbook. The Geek Squad at Best Buy told her that they couldn't fix her HP Mini 110's power button, but Seattle Laptop could. As I inspected her netbook, I noticed a MacBoook Air in her bag. When I asked, she said she spilled something on it a while back, and shorted it out. She then went out and bought a new MacBook Air to use. The netbook she wanted to fix to send it to her brother.
I informed her that we actually can fix liquid damaged MacBooks in most cases. She said she was told her Air could not be fixed, and she had another one out in the car that she had spilled liquid on over a year ago too. So this person had two shorted out MacBooks, and ended up buying a third one.
She decided to check in all three laptops. The HP Mini 110 netbook, and the two MacBook Airs'.
Now this is how this story turns out. We were able to fix both MacBook Airs'. One for less than $350 and the other one for less than $400 including all parts and labor. We also fixed the power button on the netbook. She came in and picked up all 3 laptops, and really was astounded. She was told the liquid damaged MacBooks couldn't be fixed and now she has 3 MacBook Airs'.
I asked her what she was going to do with three, and she said she would give on to her mom for Christmas, and keep the other as a spare, since knowing her luck, she may need it.
